Plaintiff,
vs.

LOS ANGELES COUNTY SHERIFF?S DEPARTMENT,

Defendant.

CASE NO: BC494675

[TENTATIVE] ORDER RE: MOTION TO BE RELIEVED AS COUNSEL

Dept. 98
1:30 p.m.
May 9, 2016

Plaintiff?s counsel of record, Robert F. Brennan and Donald Rich, seek to be relieved as counsel, contending that there has been an irreparable breakdown in the attorney-client relationship after Plaintiff informed Donald Rich that he was fired. The Motion is accompanied by a Proof of Service indicating that Plaintiff was served on April 14, 2016. However, Counsel has not provided a declaration stating facts showing that the service address is either the current residence or business address of the client or is the client?s last known address and the attorney has been unable to locate a more current address after making reasonable efforts to do so within 30 days before the filing of this Motion. Cal. Rules of Court, Rule 3.1362(d). Further, the Court notes that trial is set for May 10, 2016 and Plaintiff has not retained new counsel.

Due to the close proximity of trial, the Court requires Counsel to appear at the hearing to discuss the status of this action.

Dated this 9th day of May, 2016

Hon. Holly J. Fujie
Judge of the Superior Court
