Ruling: Plaintiff’s Motion for Trial Setting Preference is GRANTED. This trial setting is subject to any applicable local rules or orders adopted due the pending Covid-19 pandemic.
The trial date shall be advanced to December 21, 2020 at 8:30 a.m. in C26. Any party demanding a jury trial shall post fees on or before September 21, 2020. The court will advance the Mandatory Settlement Conference.
Plaintiff has complied with requirements of Code Civ. Proc., § 36 (a). “Where a party meets the requisite standard for calendar preference under subdivision (a), preference must be granted. No weighing of interests is involved.” Fox v. Superior Court (2018) 21 Cal.App.5th 529, 535.
